Hello friends!
I hope this finds you well, and more than ready for the emergence from winter into spring, which is where I currently find myself. In my part of the world, these next weeks can be the coldest of all, but that new streak of blue in the twilight sky doesn’t lie.
The eagle-eyed among you who follow my socials will notice that some of the pieces in the gallery above look more familiar than fresh, and if that’s you, I commend you on your observational skills and attention to detail. You went crazy for these pieces over Christmas and luckily I had ordered more beads to come in for the new year (they take a while to get to me) so I have been producing more of this design (always with a subtle difference for each necklace…very few of mine are absolutely identical, unless I make a little run of say, five or ten of the same) I just thought I’d continue with these for Valentines as they really are fun and pretty.
I’ve had some new equipment arrive into the workshop this week, to allow me to solder my jump-rings closed. I have a soldering iron but decided to use a blow-torch instead, with all the accompanying fluids like flux and pickle (substances vital for soldering jewellery) so I will be taking delivery of and setting that up next week and learning this new skill. Soldered or closed jump rings are not an industry standard in most beaded jewellery, but jump rings that could pull open are one of the things in my three AM list of Things That Could Go Wrong, along with the larger horrors my night-time brain wants to present me with. It’s funny, because I still wear one of the very first adult strung necklaces I ever made; a necklace rife with what I imagined were delicate parts and jump rings that were just about to pull open, but after ten years of use that necklace is as sturdy as ever.
I couldn’t resist taking it off to show you the first of thousands of beaded necklaces I’ve made over the last decade! The tiger-tail thread it’s strung on to has stretched a little bit over the years, probably because I ignore my own advice to not wear the jewellery when bathing or swimming. Amber is fine with water, but not so much with chlorine and soap, and the findings and thread don’t do well getting wet. If you want to keep up to date with the new jewellery I make, pop over to my Instagram.
Now on to one of my other offerings this year. You may notice a newsletter on here called Monday Morning Tarot Club, which was my 2024 tarot offering; it’s all still in the archive and comprises in-depth intuitively channelled one-card readings. I sometimes do a little ‘One Card, One Question’ on my stories. Don’t put any identifiers in your question because I do share the questions and answers! I offer a more in depth Daily Focus Card for £5 over in the Etsy store. Your reading is delivered via Etsy messaging, and I usually manage to do it in super-quick time for you…but I am only human so sometimes it might take the day.
I do some private email readings for long-standing customers and these are full ten card spreads, enabling me to explore specific challenges in greater depth. Sometimes I find that I have space to do one or two email readings during a week, and I post this availability on Instagram stories. I suppose I could post on Substack Notes too…there’s a thought.
Enjoy the return of the light my friends!
My very best wishes
